There is a place with two worn
but inviting
pink
armchairs
As I sit
I cradle an arm
then allow my fingers
to trail down the smooth side of the chair
heading under the cushion's edge
nervously
exploring the unseen
I can feel
grit
and sharp crumbly things
Irritations left behind
by all those
behinds
worn out
by the day

I think I'm happy I'm one of 'three';
Could be more fun than being 'one'.
